Jatra Film Club

Cinema is undoubtedly the most modern and dynamic of all the languages. The language of film has been interpreted, expressed and enriched over all these years. We as students of cinema have been deprived of learning this language.

JATRA FILM CLUB is a gathering of young professionals with only one common cause.

VIEWING AND POPULARISING GOOD CINEMA

The film club is an initiative to explore and popularize this new and modern language of cinema.

We would try to exhibit films by world masters like Akira Kurusawa( Japan), Fellini(Italy), Bergman( Sweden), Satyajit Ray, Ritwik Ghatak(India), Almodvar(Spain),
Truffaut, Godard (France) etc.

There cannot be a better classroom to learn, understand and enjoy the language of World Cinema than viewing the masters through their films.
